What is NailLift?

NailLift is a professional corrective device specifically designed to treat ingrown, involuted, or trumpet toenails. Developed for use in clinics and spas, NailLift offers a fast, effective, and minimally invasive solution to relieve discomfort and restore natural nail shape-often providing immediate pain relief and visible improvement.

Product Description

NailLift consists of a unique brace made from two memory-alloy wires encased in protective tubing, featuring four hook-like clips. These clips attach securely to the distal (free) edge of the toenail, gently lifting and correcting the curvature of involuted or ingrown nails.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Immediate Pain Relief: Most clients experience a significant reduction in pain right after application.

  • Fast & Visible Results: Nail shape improves instantly, with continued correction over the following weeks.

  • Lasting Corrective Effects: The brace is worn for 2–8 weeks, after which clients typically enjoy long-term improvement.

  • Minimally Invasive: No anesthesia, surgery, or downtime required.

  • Customizable Treatment: Suitable for mild to severe cases of involuted or ingrown toenails.

  • High Client Satisfaction: Rapid relief and cosmetic improvement lead to excellent client feedback and referrals.

Who is NailLift For?

NailLift is ideal for clients suffering from:

  • Ingrown toenails (onychocryptosis)

  • Involuted or excessively curved (trumpet) toenails

  • Discomfort, pain, or pressure from nail curvature

Note: Severe infections or advanced medical conditions should be referred to a physician or podiatrist.

How Does NailLift Work?

The NailLift brace gently exerts corrective force on the nail plate, encouraging the nail to grow in a more natural, less curved shape. By attaching to the distal end of the nail, the memory-alloy wires gradually lift and reshape the nail, relieving pressure on the nail bed and surrounding skin.

Treatment Process
1. Assessment & Health History:

  • Begin by thoroughly assessing the affected toenail and reviewing the client’s health history and any relevant conditions to ensure NailLift is appropriate.

2. Select Attachment Method:

  • Decide whether to use the over-method or under-method for attaching the brace:

  • The over-method is recommended for severe ingrown or trumpet nails, especially during the first application.

  • The under-method may be suitable for less severe cases.

3. Prepare the Brace:

  • If using the over-method or if the client’s nails are too small, remove 1–2 clips from the brace as needed.

  • Ensure that at least two clips remain attached to the nail for effective correction.

4. Attach the Brace:

  • Securely attach the wire and clips to the distal end of the nail, making sure the brace is firmly in place.

5. Secure the Brace:

  • Apply a suitable adhesive-such as nail gel, nail glue, or surgical tape-to further secure the brace to the nail.

6. Trim & Adjust:

  • While holding the brace in place, gently apply pressure to the wire.

  • Use wire cutters to trim the wire so it does not extend past the sides of the nail.

7. Client Comfort Check:

  • Check in with the client to ensure there is no pain or discomfort after application.

8. Follow-Up:

  • Instruct the client to return in 2–8 weeks for brace removal.

  • If necessary, apply a new brace at the follow-up appointment.

Treatment Frequency

  • Mild Cases: 1 application is often sufficient, with follow-up recommended in 1–5 years or longer.

  • Moderate to Severe Cases: 2–3 applications may be required, with annual or as-needed follow-up.

Safety & Contraindications

  • Safe & Comfortable: NailLift is minimally invasive and well-tolerated by most clients.

  • Contraindications: Do not use on nails with severe infection (including fungal), open wounds, or where the nail plate is too short or damaged for brace attachment.

  • Aftercare: Clients should follow practitioner instructions for care and hygiene while the brace is in place.
